There’s nothing basic about it, but we still try
to come up with a list of qualifications
to share with friends. We wrap ourselves in army surplus
jackets, make sure to cover all exposed flesh and transform
into the lowest common denominator of doomsday prepper.
That does not imply that no method exists to overcome
a George Romero fever dream. Remember gratitude
and the complacency that comes from its celebration,
will always be the undoing of the many, who eat and then sleep,
only to be eaten and never wake. You must remain hungry
and alert to arrive early at the crucible of your testing.
