Getting Published
#2
Hey Steve,
Any approach that gets you writing almost everyday will be helpful. I find picking the same time almost every day as your "writing time" helps. For me, I usually write 20-30 minutes Monday-Friday on my lunch break at work. The other thing to consider is that you need to get into a routine with submitting your work. Again, I started having more success with publication when I made myself send out at least one submission a month. This forced myself to get comfortable with writing cover letters and putting together submissions (i.e. editing, deciding what to send and what not to). That was two years ago, and now I usually aim at one submission a week. I had nothing accepted in 2018, but then had great success in 2019 (even had a chapbook accepted for publication). So that's another thing, don't get discouraged by rejections, and just keep writing and submitting.

Hope this is helpful info,
Richard
