Losing Them


I had ideas for two poems
but know I won’t remember them
when I get home without some trick,
a note or cantrip.  Once
I could recall such things
but though I chase almost
as fast as ever, lately they
have learned to flee much faster.

i had to look up cantrip but it was worth it i'm the same, even if i write it down i lose the piece of paper.
