the idea isn't to impress women, the idea is to find one who wishes to impress you; that's if you wanna be loved. the truth of the matter is this. impressions are only that, and when we impress it's often only short term. be a human being and you won't have to impress anyone

Since I've been going to the Jehovah's Witness church, I can't celebrate Thanksgiving, or associate with anyone who does without risking being disfellowed. And since I don't really know anyone in the church, forgive me, Kingdom Hall very well, I've just been sitting here alone thinking about important things, like women I momentarily passed in public. And that got me on the subject again of what women want. Freud said he didn't know; but he's dead so it really doesn't matter. . . . This is my own ignorant male point of view again, but it just seems to me that most women are just so naturally delightful. All they have to do is show up, and a man will grovel over them. But I always feel like I have to accomplish something, and earn a woman's affection. I think there's a lot of confusion there. On my part, yes; but also in general. . . . The whole equality thing, workplace stuff. If a woman can accomplish the same thing as a man, there's damn little hope left that some of us will ever be able to impress a woman. Most of the women that I've impressed in my life were drunk and desperate. And that's another thing I have to worry about. If we ever have a falling out, who do you think the police are going to believe, Sexy Sadie or Ed Grimley?  

This might not seem to have much to do with the discussion previously, but it's the one with the Jehovah's Witnesses stuff. And haven't you ever heard of the poetic term 'digression'? . . .  And it's Thanksgiving. So I can't be the only person on the planet not celebrating.
