I'm resisting the temptation to reword or rewrite this one, which means I'm probably missing what's actually there.  Pleasure-technologies lead us around by our [sense-organs], but the pleasure of (for example) a responsibility discharged or a job well done was always kind of virtual, wasn't it?  Do we relate to other people via technology, or evade them by it?  And is mutual pleasure always better than rowing your own boat?

Lot of questions, no answers.  Good head-scratcher (aaahh!  scratching an itch, Nirvana!)
