IISZ 2018 Challenge #5 - The Queen's Dreams

[Rave]

ashes where we come from

saturn ate his children,
so they would not outgrow his glory.
only jupiter escaped this fate
and passed it on,
fear transformed and generated thunder,
rumbling in immortal, splitting cores.

but mercury and mars are one,
differing only by opinion towards the sun.
the silver quickly melted into verse,
conserved their essence in the shadows,
while the woodpecker´s spotted beak
trembles in the underworld; from time to time
the bird of prey erupts.

I enjoy the fantasical and cosmic elements here. Not sure about the woodpecker and the bird of prey reference though.
