I don't think it's bad at all. I may be thinking it all wrong but it reminds me of someone who is innocent and walking happily with their head in the clouds, so to speak, unaware of the peril that surrounds them. Then someone warns of an impending danger, saving them from demise.

It was a very lovely poem, actually.
