Nice Guys Are Unicorns
who find it easy to love
the idea of someone.
They think love is grand
gestures—poison and doomed
teenage romance.
They find it easy to believe
she choose the wrong person—
when she's allowed a choice at all.
It hurts their lips
to keep smiling,
while they're waiting
waitingwaiting
for this female vending machine
to accept
the creepy coin.
They keep shaking her
to get her to finally
dispense
sex.
