Millipede
The whole population of the model village
got stuck one winter whilst celebrating, the lot
of them, in a Chinese dragon. Trapped together
under rotting paper, their society broke
down, they stumbled blindly together in silence
their only communal activity became
the rota of stepping. Scientists applauded
and declared the town a model organism.
All of one mind, dancing a sick macarena.
