                                                    Here's a romantic script for you,
                                                    one of those melodramas you hate.
                                                   
                                                    It's my life,
                                                    the one I spent years writing.
                                                   
                                                    In my script, you're the studio exec.
                                                    (the one who hates my script).

                                                    You cut it clean with your edges,
                                                    You tear it out with your points.
                                                   
                                                    And you remove my recap.
                                                    (The one where the Aztecs use their knives
                                                    to slice around my heart,
                                                    and their hands
                                                    to rip it out.)
                                                   
                                                    I've given up revenge,
                                                    the studio's too powerful.
                                                    All I've got is hate.
