i must admit, i feel like i'm missing something. this part is throwing me off: "If we all make our deadline, everybody will post their poems on PigPen at the same time." why? i know you say this is practically not going to happen, but even the ideal of everyone posting at the same time doesn't make sense in relation to the stipulations.
1) a thread pops up. [doesn't matter what time it is, it will be the same non-clock/pigpen time for everyone] -- check.
2) we each have 24 hours, from the time the thread is posted, to write and post a poem on point. -- check
from these two premises i cannot get to the "ergo we will all post our poems at the same time."
i am going to presume this simply means within the same 24 hour period, rather than at a specific time. unless i am missing something, and there is a definite deadline that i, due to this misunderstanding, definitely won't meet.
