Instructions and Info for PWoF (PigPen Write of Fall)

Just to clear things up:

A confused participant asked:

"I think we have a time inconsistency. Or am I wrong? In one place you say that the poem will be posted at 7am GMT
and another place you say it will be posted at 8am "England" but London is 0 GMT.....

Ah! Well, here's the reason for your confusion:
England is on British Summer Time (BST) until the last Sunday in October.
BST is 1 hour later than GMT, hence 7am GMT is 8am BST. (GMT is the same year round.)

To be politically correct, instead of GMT, I should have called it UTC (Coordinated Universal Time)
as this is the agreed upon non-British-centric term for it.  (GMT time = UTC time)

Why UTC instead of CUT?:

UTC came about as a compromise between English and French speakers.

  "Coordinated Universal Time" in English would normally be abbreviated CUT.
  "Temps Universel Coordonné" in French would normally be abbreviated TUC.

P.S. While I earnestly tried to take into account everybody's various summer times,
the world's time thingee's are the result of typical human snarling. I promise that any
discrepancies called to my attention will be gracefully received and dutifully rectified.

But all this is folly:

        If we all make our deadline, everybody will post their poems on PigPen at the same time.
        (The idea that this could possibly happen is ludicrous, and anyway: while 24 hours is the
        suggested goal, the officious rules just state that you must post your poems before you die.
