My condolences..

I felt it best to put this in spoilers as it's an emotional time and I don't want to offend...

I'd open with a line about how you always loved her house and how much you think it would be a great place to live....

I don't know. There isn't much to say to a dead person.... They know they're dead, you know they're dead. It just hasn't happened yet... A hug and a goodbye is all you get... Followed by a long awkward pause. You sit there long enough waiting for her to take her last struggled breath... you ends up wishing she'd just die already so you can escape the pain of nurses bursting through your last moments of silence to change a bed pan. Just as you begin to let that thought creep into your head she takes her last breath, leaving you feeling guilty.

Death beds aren't for me.
