Hi RC,
I'm glad this came back around, wanted to say the first time how much I enjoyed it. Sort of has a Poe feel to it with all the ominous and the tragic end.
Those were some mean crows though. *shudders*
One thing I wasn't sure about, the silent crow who flew away, when he returns he has the cure for his silence, but can't tell them because it's in his beak, and they never give him the chance to explain ... um ... did they kill him? I couldn't tell, and I didn't want to ask because I'm afraid of the answer.
