Lol, I'm a Christian. I knew very well this could be interpreted as blasphemy, but I also knew how this could [perhaps almost] just as well be interpreted as something else, something noble, and in my mind this is generally a neutral poem (kind of like Ecclesiastes, only less beautiful and didactic). Ditch, I admit, is a bit of a forced rhyme, but I'm not gunning for Him alone here -- and Mutton [the capital is very intentional] is something you should have caught, . I'll mull over this one, though.

I didn't read it as blasphemous. Maybe to a Catholic, but even then it's semantics and there's no real tone of rebellion here. So, yes, I could read it as neutral. "Ditch" is a distraction. Even if it serves a purpose. As far as the caps on "Mutton", I guess you made an exception to your own rule.
