They either run away saying "what a bunch of ignorant pigs" or stay and think "what a lucky little runt I am". The latter improve their poetry.
My poet name is Victoria Hunter
I am a disciplined poet, writing every day and study poetry lesson books every day.
I sit with piles of poetry books around me, even in bed, picking one to read every day.
first thing in the morning, i write. in my kitchen with the backdoor open,
nature sounds help to relax me, so I can write.
I am currently writing a complete collection of poems (just about done),
plus a book of poem on related to black people,
in natural environment, the black experience or portraits of black people.
(expect to be done by late spring)
I have attended several courses in poetry and have accomplished in poetry.
I recently graduated from a course in poetry, with a 96% grade point average.
I am bit of a perfectionist with my poems, so I am greedy for critique:0)
I love to create poems from letters and prose. I find it, more comfortable.
I love to write poems with repetition, persona poems,
poems that instruct, when I am in the mood poems,
I love to write in the style of Emily Dickinson. I plan to somebody publish a book,
with all the poems in the style of Emily Dickinson. I have written a few already.
I am in love with personification:0) I also like to write strictly metaphor poems,
abstract, or focused image poems. At this point in my poetry life, If it is not a particular form,
I free write them as descriptive letters or descriptive prose first
I am seeking critique on all my work. I have no hang ups about critique,
only that I wish to be told why you feel something don't work.
I only recently got to know my own voice in writing. I never new it, just wrote.
Please feel free to critique my work:0)
My favorite poets are: Lucille Clifton, Ann Exton, Sharon Olds, Williams Carlos. I also like some Emily Dickinson and Wheats
