What I'd do if I could travel

It was a glorious morning
and most importantly
it was still morning.
Taxi !
Take me to Greenville airport
please, and hurry if you can.
I enter the departures lounge
and approached the security desk.
Excuse me Sir,
I have just been drinking
in a local hotel bar
with two of the airports pilots,
they were both taking cocaine
and drinking heavily,
they said they were flying
a Convair 240
down to Baton Rouge,
any way I didn't
think they should be allowed
to pilot a plane in that condition.
It was a cold New York night
December 8th 1980
I had arrived too early and spent
the day in central park
and waited in the dark until 10:00pm.
Excuse me officer,
I have just walked past the entrance
to the Dakota hotel
and saw a man standing in the archway
he was holding pistol
and threatened me as I past.
I made it down to Dallas
the day before I was born
November 1963
Excuse me sir are you with security?
I have just overheard three men discussing
how they are going to assassinate the
president, they said it would be done
with a sniper riffle
from up there on the sixth floor,
yes, the school book depository.
Perhaps you should stop
the car coming through.
