Ah yes, this is literally the only poetry forum I've found myself comfortable enough to create an account, interact with fellow poets, and share material. I admit I'm guilty of being an occasional lurker for this website and a couple others for years... Its rather upsetting to me though, I wonder why I only feel comfortable here, when there's many other forums which offer the exact same resource as this one. For instance, I'm a member of several hip-hop forums, and each one is one and the same in the users that interact with each other. Yet poetry... It seems as if things can get volatile pretty quick depending on who you choose to share with... Lol idk maybe it's the large number of newbies vs. the very small number of life-long partakers. Or maybe it's the age difference. Hip-hop fans generally tend to be in the early teens to late 20s, where as you can have a 13 year olds work being critiqued by a 90 year old person in poetry. Or maybe it's just my pessimistic perception. Lol
