Fooled Again
She thought she'd catch me unaware
and give to me, a little scare,
just like she'd done, the last three years
on April Fools, on April Fools!
And so this year I wrote it down,
to save myself, her ploy'll be found
then this year she'll not confound
on April Fools, on April Fools!
The daily haze dropped down on me
and 'fore too long I had to pee,
and when I did, what did I see,
on April Fools, on April Fools!
I saw a snake there at my feet,
it made me fear, it made me meek,
I turned midstream, away I streaked,
on April Fools, on April Fools!
She brought to me the rubber snake,
but in my boots I still did shake,
A fear to me I'd ever quake
on April Fools, on April Fools!
This seems the worst it's ever been,
I'd kick her out, but she's just ten,
I swear she'll not get me again,
on April Fools, on April Fools!
