I never knew until today
that my stark white hair
is hair ice and my head
a simple granite rock.
My hair is melting away
and soon all that will be left
is this shinning rock hard dome;
resting upon weak and worthless shoulders.
This explains why my mother
always called me “Hardheaded.”
Certainly a rock is most stubborn;
refusing to help in anyway.
It’s me to a “T.”
Care to join me for a cup
of dementia?
Hah—snort, snicker, drool!

what inspiration!
(Oh hirsute one...you should know that ice flowers grow on rock. Ice hair needs an organic (usually wood) substrate and most probably the presence of the fungus Tremella mesenterica to provide structural carbon. Still, this does not preclude your head)
Best and impressed,
tectak
I found this rare phenomena in abundance in the copse north of the ornamental lake at Mellerstain Manor, Scotland. You are never too old for surprises.
