i think war can have or make a point, though i think the afghan war is beyond any relevant point making. in the beginning it made a statement of sorts. it also gave the afghan gov a chance to redefine itself. i don't think the afghan gov did enough.
now i think the west should pull out. i certainly don't condemn the west for going there. i said yes to it happening but i think we have to reassess now and again, the reason for being there, what we'll gain by staying, what will Afghanistan gain by us staying there and the difference it makes there and on the home front. Could that cash spent there be better used in the homelands of teh respective countries. could it be used more wisely.
