Yeah it is a difficult word. It is a verb and as I used the singular form decks was then plural. I could have put have put he "slubbers the deck", but I wanted to try it as it was in the dictionary even though it sounded odd. It is difficult to say what is the correct way to use the word as the definition does not really sound like a verb but more like an adjective, at least to me. You are certainly free to give it a try. That's why I do these, to introduce these words, not because I am the absolute authority on them, not that I would think anyone would think so
