Great thread. All the comments above are very honest and insightful. I, for one, found this forum a little by accident and feel like I've won the lottery. I love that the members spend as much time and thoughtful consideration on their crits and comments as they would on their own work. In my first few days here I read remarks that saved me months of heartache, repeating the same mistakes. - So, I post here because I want to improve, but equally because I want others to improve in an art form that we all care about.
As for "master poet" - It's such a paradoxical statement said in the first person, that I wouldn't know how to critique it, encourage it, or "delight" in it. - Delusional
