The oldest creature ever
(that we know of)
was a mollusk
that lived Over 500 years in relative peace
at the cold bottom of the Icelandic Atlantic
until it was dredged up
by research scientists
investigating climate change.
It was cracked open
to accurately determine its age
in the process ensuring
it wouldn't get any older.
