Sanctuary Wood

Beneath the lantern of an amber moon,
forest dwellers await their fair guests.
Wood nymphs dance a bucolic ballet,
as satyrs play panpipes gleefully.

Before songbirds herald the day's first light,
maidens cross meadows in sheer nightgowns.
You can hear chortles at the forest edge,
they're tickled by pussy willow buds.

Once within their secret haven,
prattle commences, mirth paints faces.
The canopy sieves an ocher dawn,
breaching the silence of muted shade.

Wildflower scents waft with breezes,
merging with aromatic pine.
Supple willows languidly dip
in the water of a lazy pond.

Freed from slippers, wanton toes invite
the velvet embrace of moss carpets.
Creamy lasses pad to the pool,
their gowns refresh on lilac spires.

Oval derrieres and teardrop breasts
immerse in chaste sylvan water.
Opalescent drops adorn tresses,
glistening cheeks, ivory shoulders.

Splashing awhirl in ecstasy,
floating about in reverie,
these nubile maidens tranquilly soak
amidst refuge of reed and lily pad cloak.
