If feral is associated with the word wild which its etymology suggests then it would go great with words such as wandering and serpentine to explore that prelapsarian language and the way it morphs after the fall. This type of exploration can also have some ramifications with gender as I believe Eve's hair is described as wanton. There is also the figures of nature and primordial matter to consider in this equation. Hope this wasn't too of topic.
