How much government money was spent to find that the universe is after all...flat? With the occasional indentation caused by a larger than average quantity of mass, creating small divots in an otherwise smooth concrete super highway. Space is the ocean in which the flotsam of matter just happens to float, yet with all the billions spent we haven't a clue what space is. Scientist are simply little boys still learning how to build a wooden sail boat that will float in the water, without ever getting wet because their mumsie doesn't want them to get their new clothes dirty.
quarks are quirky,
baryons are royal,
fermions are drunk
and string theory is spoiled.
(...and I wish someone would take the trash out as it is starting to stink in here)
