This endurance should be no more.
The dust and pain
and malady
penetrate every pore.
Sunlight is forever hidden,
Yet sweat still coats,
And greys the skin,
And tears cannot be ridden.
How can one possibly remain?
Always working,
Never quitting,
Without time to remove stains.
But endurance is paramount,
So that one day,
When this is o'er,
There can be made an account.
The dust and pain
and malady
penetrate every pore.
Sunlight is forever hidden,
Yet sweat still coats,
And greys the skin,
And tears cannot be ridden.
How can one possibly remain?
Always working,
Never quitting,
Without time to remove stains.
But endurance is paramount,
So that one day,
When this is o'er,
There can be made an account.
