In turn i end up deleting a bit of my work, which i did get at least a giggle out of. I understand this site is for positive poetic growth, but bad crit is bad crit. and negativing without any evidence is just bad point making, which in turns makes it impossible to improve from. with that said. mehI guess part of the learning curve must also have an element of being able to not only take the hard truths when they are offered but then also to be able to let some comments flow past without letting them irke you. You have sort of given yourself an answer in your comment, in that if someone has posted a negative without any qualifing explanation then it is probably best to wait n see if a similar comment is made with an explanation before any action is taken. I know that it is sometimes the case that only one view is offered, but when i am not convinced about a crit i tend to park the poem for editing another day.
I'm constantly amazed at what looking at something with fresh eyes in a couple of weeks will do for my appreciation of a poem.... a poem I thought was ok when i first wrote it usually look rubbish and in need of a serious overhaul.
