writing about hell, cliche?

I've been pondering the thought of writing about hell and throw it off because of Dante's Inferno. Figure its too cliche now. what do you think?

I think a /topic/ is never cliche, only its treatment. The more a topic has been done, the more difficult to find original treatment, but - hey - people are still writing love poems!
