Over-Sugared Kool-Aid

Hi I really like this poem, and I also thought it was about drugs, and even now when I've read it about 4 or 5 times it describes to me almost perfectly an acid trip, and hence I did think that Kool-aid was your terminology for acid. But having since read your explanation I realise that it is not about drugs, but more of a visionary enlightenment, which makes me glad that I quoted Blake before because it describes the same sense of awareness that you have mentioned.
In many respects this is more like prose than a poem although it is very poetic prose. But saying that it just needs some of the unnecessary extra words cut out, what R.C. Kitchens has suggested is all spot on.
The only thing that I'm unsure about is using Kool-Aid to describe this state of heightened awareness, although saying that I have no idea what Kool-Aid is, I presume it's a drink, but its possible that a lot of people may see this as a drugs reference and a drugs poem, depending on who they are, so I would try to stress more how it is a totally natural experience.
