Ekphrastic Escher

I wanted to post this in Poetry Exercises under Ekphrastic Poetry but I couldn't manage to get the image to show, so I am posting it here instead.
Ekphrasis is using one art form to comment on another, e.g writing a poem about a painting, in this case a poem about Escher's Ascending and Descending.

I liked this one it was quite imaginative (honest opinion though I'm no poetry aficianado). I'm a little rusty on my bible Why Peter and Paul?
