I forgot the dishes again,
still have your shirt to mend
didn’t put the clothes away
but I’ve done a lot today!
I didn’t sweep or mop or dust
our bed still looks of love and lust
shoes still cover the front door mat
I didn’t have time for all that!
I read 5 chapters of my book
look at these photographs I took
I wrote to mom, spoke to Ashley
and even penned some poetry.
I’m sorry if the house’s a mess
Today I was just really pressed.
