the people, the places and things
that you miss when your're too busy being young
all the girlfriends become regrets
when you're lonley and finsihed growing up

and its a hard line you have to draw
when you are drunk and tired
who you bring in just to cast away
and who do you simply ignore

well i am drunk and tired
and i cant get them out of my mind
all the people and places and things
that i spent a life passing by

and in a new year full of chances
i will start things off on the wrong foot
so much like years before
except that it's a decision this time.
