Wow, even with such short stanzas, I have a great image in my head. Having been to several Cold War museums and other exhbits about life for people in the Soviet-era, I feel that this poem really embodies the hopelessness and pain experienced by many who had to endure awful circumstances. All the words are artfully chosen. I like it a lot.
