Once In a While Meltdown

I have tried another revision.

Into the bedroom
and out of her mind,
she left the bunny mortified
but stoic (as if it mattered.)

A paranoid predator
stalking her, pray
as she might.

Behind solid oak
and dull brass hinges,
a tiny plea melts
to a wracking soundtrack
of ignorant percussion.

She is back against the door
weeping for mother
and me.
