Share buttons are great to get seen, but yeah copyright has a tendency to go out the window. I know I posted some poems on facebook that have been shared outside of poetry groups, and I've no idea where they are now or who might be putting their name on them. It really depends on who can view your work. Mostly, not always, other writers have more respect towards each others writing than the general public.
