Santa baby
and I don’t mean maybe
there’s a few things you owe me
and I wish you could just show me
what’s the point of a list
on this I must insist.
But just to play your game
I’ll make some rhyme in your name
and tell you all I know
about my acquisitive soul
these are the things I need
the heart of my spiritual greed:
peace of mind
without having to look behind,
a light I can follow
without feeling hollow,
a desert I can get lost in
that doesn’t know sin.
That seems like the lot
so I’ve given it a shot
if it’s toys you were hoping for
then I’ll show you the door
go back to your sled
and get out of my head.
