It's October, and some poets here are writing a poem a month for it. I know it's late to ask, but any chance of Milo running one here too?
Maybe a prompt a day somehow referencing NZ, open to all?

I've just joined this forum. Thanks to Mercedes for letting me know of it. A wonderful idea to have a prompt for an October poem or two. I would love to participate in that!

milo can speak for himself but my view:
I'm not sure how many of us (other than you ) can handle more than one poem-a-day month in the year and we do have Ray's Weirdness Prompts in October but...
I have learned so much just by googling the flora/fauna/history/locations in your poems that a chance to focus on them is very appealing. Who better than you to run the project? Maybe you could post a prompt with a fact/definition/myth/photo unique to NZ at whatever interval you choose, either all in one thread if it's one or two a week or on separate threads marked NZNPM or some such if you prefer. milo's forum would make a fine home for it, IMO.

Good idea thanks - Maybe others will join in. I'll try to post a prompt each day for October, Milo-style, and let's see what happens. I'll write, with the advantage of the prompt!

I mean I've seen Lord of the Rings. So, I should be good to go.

Once we get beyond Frodo...I'm out of my depth. My NZ inspired poetry will probably be from a NZ that never existed.
You will build it with your words, and we will come!

right billy -
NaPoMo NZ starts on October 1 and runs to October 31.
Each day I'll post a prompt, referencing something about New Zealand, and linking information, but poets are free to post whatever they write. The prompts are just to nudge creativity.
The requirements will be posted with each prompt:
Minimum/maximum number of lines
Form
Any other requirement
Most of all, it's about having fun, encouraging each other, making a committment and WRITING!
Poets are welcome to enter posts on any of the days, or all of them, or just come and read through what others are doing. (Hopefully that will make you want to join in!)
