hhhmmmm
It sounds like wind, or is it rain?
Do I smell mouse or bear again?
How long will she hold the door?
I'd like to go but I'm not sure.
She lets it close so fast, that grouch,
and plants herself back on that couch.
Oh, lazy maid, don't make me wait,
this time I'll scoot and come back late.

.
Stalking through the tall grass,
nictating eyelid closes
protecting my eyes from
angry Johnson grass…
wait that smell?
Slicing through the grass,
caution to the wind I pounce,
on a delicious bowel of tuna.
Purr!
.
How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?
The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.

Mosquito
You haven’t even noticed me,
around you I have hovered
just waiting to get close to you
when you become uncovered.
I’ll wait until you are exposed
and close enough to reach; I’ll
sink in my probiscus,
and upon your blood I’ll feast!

Clay Mammoths
We traversed blue ice sheets
garbed in sienna matted cloaks,
a fog snorting caravan
in colossal exodus.
Our clarions resounded
caution over ivory,
crossing a waning isthmus
under Pleistocene skies,
the Aurora Borealis
as our sole guide.
Many brethren were lost
to glacial crevasse
on our migration campaign
for new habitat.
When destinations were found,
we fanned to the south,
escaping barren ice
for fertile ocher grain.
We grazed spacious prairies,
deemed ourselves secure,
while bipedal watchers
fashioned lance and spear.
Why would the gods
give us bulk, tusk and trunk,
knowing we were no match
for Homo sapiens.

Counting sheep
I asked if I could count the sheep,
they hopped and scattered up the hill.
I ran full flight to take a peep
and found a place to lie quite still,
could see the flock beyond the mill.
Spot the new born wagging tails,
my movement sets the homeward trail.
A fox breaks cover bleating starts
I scramble fast on sod and shale,
he sees the lambs but heeds my bark.
Cheating a bit with an un-posted old one due to no time so just tweaked a bit.
If your undies fer you've been smoking through em, don't peg em out

Just another day in Perry land
Yum! Pus filled bandage,
with a side of horse hoof.
She obviously didn’t want them
dumped them the fire pit.
Although I can’t concentrate,
I’m focused on a rabbit nest
full of soft squeak toys.
Time for a spot of digging.
Now where is she?
I’ve saved a head to share
and stashed a puss filled patch
of cotton wool beside her bed.
I think of her a lot...I hope she likes my ode de Fox

Lamb
Even my smell wreathes
Innocence.
How does a dog wring
Joy from my neck?
How does a gay bleat
Flinching
Away from a taut string
No mercy get?
As the wire tightens,
The ewe lambs again.

I don't sing, I shout.
all day, all night.
Sleep is for the weak,
I have fire in my belly.
Property is my game,
to the death I will fight.
Look at him with his spade.
Doesn't he know that this, is my garden.
wae aye man ye radgie

Even though I’m white and ungainly
my hide helps me hide very plainly!
I avoid being lunch
at the back of the bunch
while my cousins are fed to snake Zainly.
Pathetic but I'm busy and uninspired. Sorry.
