If you're really stuck for numbers, put me down (at your peril I'd add).
And I'm not sure I've made minimum posts to qualify for these activities yet.
I'll keep an eye out either way.

I will leave it open until Saturday at which point I will write the first one and 'whisper' it (by pm) into the first participant's ear (inbox). That participant will have 48 hours to rewrite it and send it back at which point i will send it to to the next person. I may scramble th order . . . or I may not.

Nice! I was actually involved in a study of how languages evolve which included a game of telephone and the making up of a new language. The results were very interesting, it seems that the mistakes made by others were more comprehensible to the rest than the original words as it went down the line, which suggests that languages might evolve through a history of grammatical errors that were more easily understood in their context. . . anyway. . .

Wow that's super interesting true! You don't happen to have a the study online or something do you? I'd be really interested in reading it.
Did all the participants have the same native language? If so it'd make sense that the mistakes they made came from their own language, making it easier for speakers of that same language to understand the convolution of the new one. Like how French speakers say "I am agree" instead of "I agree" (from the French "Je suis d'accord") because that makes more sense to them.

I don't know if it's online, but I think the guy I was working with got his thesis published, I'll look into it.

Oh and we all spoke English, but it wasn't a first language for all of us. The study was mostly concerned with the evolution of the English language in particular.

Damn, I breathed a sigh of relief figuring you had shuffled and I wasn't between you and true, what a sore thumb that would be. Smile

Have a good trip.
